Exeter beat visiting Bristol Rovers on Saturday in the England League Two, winning 1-4 (0-4).

The hosts Exeter started best and were already 1-0 up at the start of the game. After only 3 minutes Matt Jay scored.

The team increased the lead to 2-0 early in the match when Matt Jay made his mark as he scored again. This time he found the net in the 15th minute.

Exeter increased their lead to 3-0, as Timothee Dieng scored, in the 22nd minute.

Just two minutes later, it was Harry Kite who scored, thus ensuring that the team increased the lead again, making it 4-0.

In the 70th minute, Sam Finley netted, to reduce the score for Bristol Rovers. But Bristol Rovers ran out of steam. This brought the final score to 4-1.

Bristol Rovers have had a sluggish start to the season and have only three points from their first four games. Exeter claimed their first win.

The last outing between the teams ended in a 3-1 home win for Bristol Rovers in April 2016.
