Netherlands started the match best and took the lead when Memphis Depay scored a goal in the 24th minute, with an assist by Donyell Malen, making it 1-0.
Straight after the break, Georginio Wijnaldum found the net and increased the team’s lead.
Netherlands found the net once more, this time through Georginio Wijnaldum, who scored a goal in the 58th minute, what brought the final score to 3-0.
The result means that North Macedonia have secured the title.
The results in the last qualifying round mean that North Macedonia finish in fourth place and Netherlands in first. Netherlands has secured its spot in the playoffs.
