Middlesbrough were ahead 1-0 in the Championship game at Riverside Stadium but the Queens Park Rangers came back to win 2-3.

Middlesbrough started the match well and took the lead when Uche Ikpeazu scored after 7 minutes, making it 0-1.

1-1 came through an own-goal in the 48th minute.

Queens Park Rangers’ Moses Odubajo was sent off in the 50th minute.

With more than 30 minutes on the clock, Queens Park Rangers’s Lyndon Dykes scored and gave Queens Park Rangers the lead.

Matt Crooks equalised for Middlesbrough in the 72nd minute.

Chris Willock scored the decider, in the 76th minute. This brought the final score to 3-2.

After three games, Middlesbrough have four points while Queens Park Rangers have seven.

In the next round, on Saturday at 3pm, Middlesboro will face Derby away at Pride Park Stadium, while Queens Park will play on the same day at home to Barnsley at 12:30 pm.
