Wycombe Wanderers had a 2-0 lead at half-time at home against Accrington in Saturday’s match the England League One. In the third period Accrington edged closer but in the end Wycombe was able to see the game off and win 2-1.

The team increased the lead to 2-0 early in the match when Garath McCleary made his mark as he scored again. This time he scored in the 15th minute.

The goal that reduced the score to 2-1 came in the final minutes, when Matt Butcher scored a goal for Accrington. But Accrington ran out of steam. This brought the final score to 2-1.

Wycombe are set to face Sunderland, while Accrington face Milton Keynes. Both games are scheduled for Saturday.
