Fulham took control of the Championship game away to Millwall and were ahead 2-0. The third period saw a spirited fightback from Millwall that fell just short and Fulham ultimately won the match 2-1.
The visitors Fulham started best and were already 0-1 up at the start of the game. After only 3 minutes Aleksandar Mitrovic scored, with an assist from Fabio Carvalho.
The team increased the lead to 0-2 early in the match when Fabio Carvalho made his mark as he found the net, with an assist by Neeskens Kebano, in the 8th minute.
The goal that reduced the score to 1-2 came in the final minutes, when Benik Afobe scored a goal for Millwall, with an assist by Matt Smith. Millwall were unable to score any more goals, what brought the final score to 1-2.
It was Millwall’s fourth game in a row without a win.
Millwall are now at three points after four games, while Fulham have taken seven points through three games.
On Saturday, Millwall face Cardiff at Cardiff City Stadium and Fulham take on Hull at home.
